Martie Shiffman was truly the Heart and Soul of the Flathead Lake Music Camp. It was by her goal and design that this camp was created over twenty years ago. She established the genuine philosophy that "The Camp seeks to provide an environment in which each student's talents can be nurtured and refined . In addition to technical assistance and instruction, emphasis is placed on the very special self worth of each student."

Martie passed away in early 2004 but her memory and legacy live on through the Flathead Lake Music Camp. We have put together a memorial scholarship in Martie's name which we hope will help a student who might not otherwise be able to take part in this wonderful experience.
